PASTRY & LAMINATION ASSISTANT MANAGER (2IC) – BELMONT

Salary $80,000P/A

We're looking for an experienced pastry and lamination assistant to join our busy team in Belmont. We are currently supplying pastries, cakes and loaves to 6 of our own stores, supermarkets & wholesale customers all around Auckland.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, and be willing to work under our head of department.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pastry and lamination processes.
    Proven track record in a supervisory or assistant managerial role within a pastry or bakery environment.
  • Additional certifications or training in lamination techniques is a plus. 
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team of pastry chefs and assistants.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey instructions and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Experience in managing inventory, including ordering and maintaining stock levels for pastry ingredients.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and the ability to enforce hygiene standards in the kitchen.
  • Lead by example, promoting a positive and motivated work environment.

LAMINATION PASTRY CHEF  – BELMONT

$25-$30P/H 

We're looking for a lamination chef to join our growing team in Belmont. The site itself is  expansive and hosts our leading patisserie and kitchen teams.
The site helps supply our other stores around Auckland using the state of the art production kitchen. The role will include assisting in the preparation, baking, laminating and upholding our high level of perfection in every pastry. 

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a commercial kitchen
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team 
  • A thorough understanding of lamination & pastry techniques
  • Able to work early mornings and weekends on a rotating roster
  • The right to live and work in NZ
