Daily Bread's infamous sourdough hot cross buns are heavy on spice, sweet with dried fruit and finished with a sticky glaze. Long fermentation, renders them springy, moist and flavourful. Best eaten toasted with a generous slab of butter on top.

Ingredients: NZ sprayfree wheat flour, fruit mix (sultanas, raisins, currants, golden rum), water, butter, egg yolk, sugar, lievito madre (flour, water), spice mix, sea salt*.
